FreediveSafe! Hawai’i Returns to Pokai Bay for Spearfishing Safety
FreediveSafe! Spearfishing Safety Awareness Event – October 18th
FreediveSafe Hawai‘i is proud to announce a Spearfishing Safety Awareness community event on October 18th, in collaboration with Mike Lima and the Wai‘anae spearfishing community.
This special gathering is dedicated to supporting our young divers, sharing life-saving knowledge, and building a stronger culture of safety in the water. The event will cover critical topics such as:
-
Understanding and preventing shallow water blackout
-
Practicing essential buddy system safety techniques
-
Building awareness of spearfishing safety protocols for all levels of divers
We are also honored to welcome Justin Lee, USA Spearfishing Champion and YETI Ambassador, who will be joining us to share his experience and insights.
By coming together as a community, we can help ensure the next generation of spearfishers dive responsibly and return home safely every time.
Join us on October 18th to learn, connect, and help carry forward a culture of safety, respect, and kuleana in Hawai‘i’s waters.
