FreediveSafe! events are open to all freedivers or spearfisherman. If you  hold your breath and swim underwater, you are invited to join our program! These are free programs to the public paid for by donations. We provide formal freediving safety training to everyone. Our team of  professional, highly trained, certified freediving instructors with Freediving Instructors International (F.I.I.) lead our programs and ensure all participants receive the highest level of freediving safety training.

FII Basic Freediving Safety program is conducted over four hours with a minimum of six participants.  The curricular includes a two hour freediving safety presentation and two hours of confined water practical training.  Lunch is provided to our participants.  We provide masks, snorkels and fins for the practical training but if you have your own please bring them.  Minimum age is 12-years-old and older.

Freediving Safety presentations are available to any club, school or community group. Our professional freediving instructor will provide your group with an in-depth presentation on the risks associated with breath-hold related activities (spearfishing, freediving, surfing), how to minimize these risks and the important safety protocols to follow in the event of an emergency.  Presentations are adapted to group and age level and we believe no one is too young or too old to hear this information.

All participants must pre-register for FreediveSafe! programs. We are currently hosting programs on the Big Island and Oahu.  Programs will be available on Kauai, Molokai and Maui in early 2021.
