Niki Roderick

Niki Roderick (formerly Stepanek) is the Founder and Executive Director of FreediveSafe! Hawaiʻi, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing drowning and freediving-related fatalities through education, outreach, and safety training. A national record-holding freediver with nearly two decades of experience in ocean safety education, Niki has trained thousands of students and community members across Hawaiʻi while advocating for increased water safety awareness statewide. Her leadership has helped establish FreediveSafe! Hawaiʻi as a leading voice in drowning prevention, and she has contributed expert guidance to Hawaiʻi's water safety initiatives. Passionate about protecting both people and the ocean, Niki combines her deep connection to the sea with a commitment to empowering the next generation of ocean users through education and stewardship.
